Nintendo Switch 2 Revealed 2025

After months of leaks and rumours, Nintendo officially revealed its Switch 2  and a new Mario Kart game in a brief trailer. The new Mario Kart game was only seen for seconds, but it looks like it will be business as usual with some modifications for the popular kart-racing franchise.

What that sneak peek did show off was a starting grid full of familiar faces, starting with the main man himself, Mario. Nintendo’s favourite plumber is joined by his brother Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and several other characters. Interestingly, it looks like Donkey Kong has a new look influenced by his appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, so we could see a few other redesigns to fan-favourite characters when the game is fully revealed.

With a Switch 2 Nintendo Direct scheduled for April, there are still a lot of questions about the console, new features, and its new games. The new Mario Kart game will undoubtedly be a game that Nintendo has high hopes for, as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo’s best-selling game so far.
